    SONY digital video software provides an easy to use system for small to medium sized installations, especially those where analytics are important.

    With the DEPA technology, Sony digital cameras conduct video analytics at the camera. This means that excess footage is not recorded and transmitted to the computer, reducing bandwidth and processing requirements.

    There are several situations in which a Sony digital video surveillance system would be recommended: when starting up a new system for a small or medium sized (up to 32 cameras) location and when analytics are required but costs must be kept to a minimum. In addition, if a smaller Sony analog video surveillance system is already in place and expansion to a digital system is required, a video network station can be added to combine systems.





    ONSSI is a non-proprietary software that enables users to connect many cameras made by different manufacturers to a digital video security system. Since this software is not connected to any specific manufacturer, even existing analog systems can be connected and expanded upon with encoders that translate their analog video stream to a digital one.

    ONSSI uses server based software to run analytics on the video streams it processes at the computer. It can be connected to up to 1000 different cameras from various locations.
